The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear Roger Bejenaru’s complaint that Kedington Ltd. unlawfully deducted €7,361 from his wages. The decision was dated 25 July 2023. Kedington said the complaint was time-barred and denied making a wrongful deduction, saying the tax rebate had been paid to the company to offset tax paid on Bejenaru’s Denmark assignment. Bejenaru said he had delayed while waiting for information about the rebate and sought an extension. The WRC found the complaint was brought outside the time limit and was not well founded; the merits were not decided.
