The Workplace Relations Commission concluded its investigation of Sebastian Vandermeersch’s discrimination complaint against Tesco Ireland Limited after he did not attend a hearing. The decision was dated 28 July 2023. The WRC said Vandermeersch had been notified in writing of the hearing arrangements and found his failure to attend unreasonable. As he did not attend to give evidence supporting his allegations, the adjudicator ended the investigation and found against him; the merits were not decided.
