The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) dismissed Leon O'Connor's complaint that Macquaire Group limited discriminated against him because of his religious belief during recruitment. The decision was dated 29 May 2023. O'Connor did not attend the hearing, although the WRC said he had been notified and allowed time to arrive. The adjudicator said he had not made a prima facie case of discrimination and the complaint failed after he did not attend; the merits were not decided.
