The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) said it had no jurisdiction to hear Anniela Barboza’s complaints against Cpl Solutions Ltd Covalen over minimum notice, employment terms and unfair dismissal. The decision was dated 26 May 2023; the merits were not decided. Barboza said her probationary dismissal was unfair and the company had not followed its procedures. The WRC found she filed her complaints 11 months and 16 days after her dismissal and that her reasons for delay did not amount to reasonable cause. It therefore found the complaints outside the time limit and did not consider their substance.
