The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Morrison Data Services Ltd to pay Ken Tynan €5,522.30 in statutory redundancy pay and €1,286.25 for three weeks of notice pay. Its decision, dated 3 August 2023, also found a duplicate complaint not well founded. Tynan had worked for the company for just under six years. After it lost the contract it had been fulfilling, he was given one week’s notice that his job was ending. The adjudication officer found he was entitled to four weeks’ statutory notice, leaving three weeks unpaid, and that he was due a redundancy payment which he had not received. The parties agreed that no payment for untaken annual leave was outstanding. The third complaint, which the officer identified as a duplicate, was found not well founded.
