The Workplace Relations Commission rejected all four complaints brought by Tina Maguire against Boots Retail (Ireland) Limited. She alleged disability discrimination and failure to accommodate her inability to wear a face mask at work, and complained of unlawful wage deductions, inadequate terms-of-employment information and unpaid annual leave. The adjudicator found the different treatment objectively justified by pandemic risks and found no safe alternative work arrangement; she also found Maguire had been paid in full until early February 2021, then went on sick leave, and had received her accrued annual leave.
