The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Deansbridge Couriers Ltd to pay Roland Czaczyk €1,000 net for unpaid annual leave. The decision was dated 21 May 2024. The adjudicator treated the unpaid leave in Czaczyk’s final salary as a wage deduction and found the company had not established a lawful basis for it. Czaczyk said he was owed 10 days of leave after leaving the company and had earned €500 net a week. He also said the company had not provided payslips or kept leave records. The company did not attend the hearing. The adjudicator relied on Czaczyk’s evidence and found the complaint well founded.
