The Workplace Relations Commission found Gráinne Flannery’s complaint against Mercer (Ireland) was not well founded. The decision, dated 8 June 2023, concerned allegations of age and disability discrimination, including failure to promote her, refusal of reasonable accommodation for her hearing disability and discrimination in her employment conditions. The adjudicator said two of the three incidents Flannery raised were outside the statutory time limit, leaving only a January 2023 incident about a request for contact details for an external occupational health provider. He found that this could not establish less favourable treatment or a breach of the Act. The complaint was found not well founded; the merits were not decided.
