Nina Sheehy was awarded €1,200 for missing written employment terms and €800 for unpaid accrued annual leave after complaints against Danu Fettle & Fare Limited. The Workplace Relations Commission decision, dated 19 July 2023, also found that public-holiday and Sunday-working complaints were not well founded because the dates claimed fell outside the time limit. A Payment of Wages complaint was withdrawn as a duplicate. Sheehy worked as a manager at the café and shop from June to September 2022, earning €15 gross an hour. She said she had not received written employment terms and that her final payment did not include accrued annual leave. The WRC found both complaints well founded and ordered compensation. It rejected her public-holiday claim for 1 August 2022 and her claim for compensation for Sunday work on specified dates, as those claims fell outside the cognisable period, which ran from 9 September 2022 to 8 March 2023. The respondent did not attend the hearing.
