The Workplace Relations Commission found Katarzyna Makarewicz’s claims for annual leave, public holiday pay and unfair dismissal not well founded. The decision, dated 17 May 2024, was issued by Adjudication Officer Ewa Sobanska. Makarewicz claimed she was owed annual leave and public holiday pay for 2015 to 2022 and said she might have been unfairly dismissed. Beechwood House argued that sick leave and carry-over rules limited any annual leave entitlement, and that Makarewicz had resigned. She did not attend the rescheduled hearing, and the WRC relied on the respondent’s uncontested submissions.
