The Workplace Relations Commission ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear eight complaints by Sarah Kelly against Ics Mortgages Dilosk because they were filed outside the time limit. The decision was dated 18 June 2024; the merits were not decided. Kelly had worked as a temporary mortgages administrator placed with the respondent by Hays Specialist Recruitment Ireland Ltd. She brought complaints concerning unfair dismissal, minimum notice, fixed-term work, parental leave, maternity protection and temporary agency work. Kelly said her original complaints against the recruitment agency had settled at mediation and that she had not known the claims should have been made against the client. The WRC found no reasonable cause to extend the filing period.
