The Labour Court has set aside a €1,500 award to Christine Connolly after allowing an appeal by Health Service Executive South Tipperary Mental Health Services. Its decision is dated 25 June 2024. Connolly worked as an agency worker at St Luke’s, placed there by Noel Recruitment. The Adjudication Officer had found she was unfairly dismissed without notice and awarded compensation under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act 1973. The Labour Court found she had not identified the correct respondent under that Act, so the appeal succeeded and the original decision was set aside.
