The Labour Court found Raymond McDonald’s payment of wages complaint was brought outside the time limit and his appeal failed. It affirmed the Adjudication Officer’s decision. The determination was dated 2 August 2023. McDonald said he was made redundant at the end of August 2019, but made no submission that an unlawful deduction had been taken from his wages. O’Donnell Coach Hire Limited said he resigned and no deduction had been made. The Court found the complaint was made almost three years after the latest possible breach date, beyond the 12-month limit. The merits were not decided.
